“……this is jīvita dāna, abhaya dāna. If you wish for the attainment of danger less place, this will help. What is Danger less place? Danger less place is Nibbāna. In Nibbāna, there is no birth, no decay, no sickness, no death, is it good? Yes.
May these animals also release from sufferings. They are ready to be killed, so we donate their life. Because of this merits, these animals also may free from danger, may free from mental sufferings, may free from physical sufferings, and may be well and happy.
In the same way, we the donors also may free from danger, may free from mental sufferings, may free from physical sufferings, and may be well and happy. And this donation may be for realisation of nibbāna. ……”
